The Best of Cole

bestofcole-400x436Administrative Professional’s Day was this week and I received the opportunity to accompany the ladies to a luncheon celebrating their hard work.  There were food, prizes, and free stuff!  Who doesn’t like free?!  Oh…by the way, IF you are a boss AND you have people working for you AND you didn’t show them how much you appreciate what they do on April 23rd, you better be good at apologizing and be prepared to dig deep!  You may get some coffee that tastes just a little ‘off’ or some very important emails go missing from your inbox…just sayin!  If for some crazy reason you operate on a daily basis without a calendar, I know you have Facebook to remind you of these special occasions.  P.S. my Grandmother has Facebook. Excuses free zone.  Back to the luncheon…I felt like one of the girls and had so much fun!  I am certainly aware I’m a girl but I guess I’m already too focused on being one of the guys and excited about hardwood, I tend to forget.

I got to reeeeeally thinking about how much they do.  Having only been here six months, I quickly noticed they are pretty miraculous.  There is a system at Cole Hardwood that would quite frankly….fall apart faster than everyone’s NCAA brackets when Mercer beat Duke…if Marna or Mel were missing from the equation.  We are scrambling to figure out what is going to transpire when Tori’s bouncing baby boy arrives?!  Don’t get me wrong, we CAN’T wait to meet the little guy BUT that means mommy is unavailable for consultation!  HELLOOOOO?! Lori took a day off once…nobody could right-click in the office correctly for a whole business day.

It’s crystal clear where we would be without these efficient and knowledgeable individuals.  They are the guerilla glue that beautifully hold us together at Cole Hardwood so to speak. Thank you! Thank you! (Pictured left to right: Mel, Me, Marna, Lori, Tori(&Ryder)

Cole Hardwood has an excellent staff overall. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They treat me like family and that is exactly what they mean to me. Thank you for all that you do.

Great writing, Jen! You left out the part where you ate all of the mushrooms, though. 🙂
